How To Become A Member

To apply for membership, please follow the steps outlined below:

1. Complete the Membership Application Form:
The application form is available on the AHSSA website under the “Documents” section. Ensure that all fields are completed in full.

2. Verify Your Joining Date:
It is important to double-check your joining date, as this will determine from which date your foals can be registered.

3. Pay the Membership Fees:
Ensure that the correct membership fees are paid. Payment details can be found on the website or on the application form.

4. Submit Your Application and Proof of Payment:
Send your completed application form along with proof of payment to the AHSSA via email.

5. Council Approval:
Your application will be reviewed and approved by the Council of the AHSSA.

6. Registrar Processing:
After approval, your application will be forwarded to the Registrar ARC (Agricultural Research Council) for further processing.

7. Processing Time:
The processing of your application may take up to a maximum of two (2) weeks.

8. Notification:
Once your application has been processed, both the SA Studbook and AHSSA will notify you of your registered membership details, including your membership number.

9. Welcome to the AHSSA:
